C.S.R
At Corilla Plastics we believe that the outworking of our Corporate Social Responsibility should be measured against three yardsticks, our relationship with the communities we work in, our approach and reaction with the environment, and our ethical stance.
Community
Involvement with the local communities we work in is of paramount importance to Corilla Plastics - we consider ourselves part of the community, committed to the local area.
We believe that helping the local community is an important part of our business, and that we can have a significant impact on it. We are involved in regional Chambers of Commerce, local council initiatives and other business group activities and we provide work placements for local students and support for educational establishments.
Our objective is to encourage our management and staff to play a significant part in the development of local communities.
Ethics
Corilla Plastics supports the principles of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights through its business practices.
In addition, we will not provide support for or work with organisations that do not conform to the most widely accepted standards for minimum labour rights or which do not cover the use of under-age or forced labour.
We will not tolerate discrimination, bullying or any other kind of harassment within the company
Environment
Corilla recognises that a key element in running a responsible manufacturing company is to re-cycle and re-use as much raw material as possible, thereby lessening the need to use virgin polymers. In addition we have a policy to work with customers, suppliers and government agencies to manage all resources more carefully, thereby reducing our impact on the environment.
