Environment Policy
Corilla recognises that a key element in running a responsible manufacturing company is to re-cycle and re-use as much raw material as possible, thereby lessening the need to use virgin polymers. In addition we have a policy to work with customers, suppliers and government agencies to manage all resources more carefully, thereby reducing our impact on the environment.
We take great pride in being at the cutting edge of re-cycling, having invested in the machinery to seamlessly recycle 100 % of our products. We are able to offer customers and non-customers alike a unique, affordable and trouble free service that enables them to meet current Government legislation, reduce their own carbon footprint and save money, all at the same time!
Corilla undertakes to collect all polyethylene products such as mortar tubs that have come to the end of their useful life, free of charge from existing customers (and for a nominal fee for non-customers), and, if required, issue customers with a disposable certificate, tangible evidence of how that customer is working towards a greener future. We can then clean these products and convert them back to pellets. These pellets are then cleaned again and then ground into a powder, which is then used in the manufacture of new, recycled, products. To encourage the use of recycled products we have reduced the price of these products compared to the same product made from virgin polymer.
Our enclosed ovens are insulated to regulate heat loss, and our gas jets in the open flamed machines are carefully designed for maximum efficiency.
In addition the gas jets used on the open flame machines have been carefully designed to develop maximum calorific values from the available gas supply. We also deliberately minimise ‘trimming’ to save labour time and the associated running costs of power tools.
