Tom Fleming Back to top

Group Chairman

Tom is a qualified chartered accountant, with 14 years experience working in the Corporate Finance Department of Deloitte. During this time he specialised in assisting corporations with design and implementation of profit improvement plans, including a secondment to RBS to work on some of their more difficult cases.

Tom’s work has taken him to USA, Italy and Germany to work on international assignments and he has worked for businesses of all sizes from family run concerns to large Plc’s.

Tom moved on from Deloitte’s in 2008, to focus on making some strategic investments in businesses that would benefit from his keen strategic mind. His business focus ensures companies address their weaknesses. He is adept at restructuring companies where necessary to build strong, robust, competitive businesses.

Since Tom joined Corilla (formerly TTB) he has presided over the acquisition of complementary rotational moulding businesses in the UK to build one formidable plastics products supplier with expertise in key markets in marine, equestrian, pet and agricultural products.

Group Managing Director

Dave is an engineer by trade, having gained operational and management experience across many business sectors. His experience spans products for off shore and deep mining operations as well as high volume domestic products, 1st tier automotive products for a global company and plastics rotational moulding for blue chip and general engineering companies.

Dave’s role as Managing Director is to oversee the day to day operations across both sites, Bridgend and Chesterfield to ensure smooth running of the business across all departments.

Group Sales & Commercial Director

Shaun started his career qualifying as an injection mould toolmaker, and went on to gain further professional qualifications whilst working for LINPAC Mouldings where he held a number of management, sales and technical positions.

Shaun’s particular interest was in product innovation for which he won a design award for development of the Marley roof tile, in use by many key housebuilders today.

Shaun has successfully won and handled major accounts in the industry, including work for clients whose needs required multi-process solutions including rotational, blow, injection moulding and vacuum forming.

In 2003 Shaun joined The Thompson Plastics Group in a more strategic role, restructuring the business to turn it around from a loss making to a profitable concern.

In 2009, Shaun joined Corilla Plastics as Sales and Commercial Director and has been instrumental in delivering a new structure to the business.

He has managed the corporate communications for the group during its period of significant change and implemented a new corporate identity.

Shaun is delighted to be able to offer clients industry expertise across so many different sectors at Corilla. He enjoys the challenge of meeting the ever-changing needs of clients which feed his enthusiasm for continuing product innovation.

Rob Morgan Back to top

Group Finance Manager

Rob Morgan is responsible for the finances of the business. He has worked in a financial capacity for a number of large companies in different industries including stationery and chemical distribution and food manufacture.

In his previous role Rob was responsible for sourcing and implementing complex job costing software to improve efficiencies and profitability. He has a keen eye for identifying where efficiencies can be made, and in managing the finances of large turnover companies.

Rob is currently overseeing the new dual site company formation, implementing accounting systems in accordance with the requirements of Corilla’s new structure to bring financial cohesion to the business.

Group Quality & Technical Manager

Mark started his career as a Laboratory Technician in the Rotational moulding industry, and focused on quality control of materials used in the manufacturing process. He progressed onto project management, new product development and production engineering.

Mark has had significant involvement throughout his career in quality control and has played an instrumental part in gaining BS5750, ISO9001, ISO14001 and TS16949 accreditation for some of his former employers.

Mark has an HNC in Polymer Technology, a Dipoma in Industrial Management and a City and Guilds in Quality Assurance.

He brings this wealth of knowledge and experience to his current role, ensuring only the highest standards of materials, manufacture and quality control are met through rigorous processes and quality checks.

Bridgend Production Manager

Mike is a veteran employee at Bridgend, with many years service in production. He has progressed during his career through positions as foreman, supervisor, training officer, safety officer, development engineer and production manager.

Mike’s in depth knowledge and experience of evolving manufacturing techniques over the years makes him a resourceful and valuable member of the team. He ensures timescales are met, and the whole production team runs smoothly.

Trade Moulding Business Development Manager

Les started his career in sheet metal fabrication, gaining plenty of hands on experience before climbing the career ladder through product design, manufacturing, sales, marketing and management.

His unique set of skills mean he is now adept at providing the technical solutions to meet customer requirements, drawing on all of his previous experience. Les is happiest when helping clients who come to him with many and varied challenges which he sees as his personal mission to overcome.

As a result, Les invariably turns a tentative enquiry into an order, enabling clients to realise their dreams as they push forward with their own product innovation.

Customer Account Manager Bridgend

Melanie has been with the business for 19 years and has been looking after the interests of its clients for many of those years.

Melanie enjoys ensuring clients receive the best service, checking production schedules, quality control and deliveries to provide a seamless service to the customer. She maintains good communications with clients throughout their projects so that they are kept informed and updated on progress.

Melanie co-ordinates implementation of clients’ orders, and as their needs sometimes change quite rapidly, she uses her experience to apply flexibility and new thinking to challenges as they arise.

Construction and Pet Accounts Manager

Claire joined Corilla Plastics (formerly XJF Plastics) in 2006. Her core role is looking after the needs of customers, and in generating new business opportunities for the company.

She has worked across the different industry sectors of the business, and has in depth knowledge of the marine, equestrian, pet and construction products. Claire uses her industry knowledge to help meet the needs of customers requiring custom made moulds.

Claire co-ordinates all the effort that goes into attending trade exhibitions, ensuring everyone and everything is in the right place at the right time.

She enjoys attending these exhibitions which give her the chance to meet many of her customers face to face, whilst also making new contacts with whom to develop new relationships.

Supply Chain Manager Bridgend

Chris is responsible for specifying and buying the raw materials for all Corilla production. This uses his keen negotiating skills and careful planning to ensure there is little waste, and that materials arrive ‘just in time’ for production. Chris works closely with the sales and production team, to help him plan ahead to meet time frames.

Deliveries and despatch are all overseen by Chris who ensures materials match purchase orders, meet quality standards and are stored efficiently. Goods despatched are checked to ensure they are packed suitable for transit, and that goods leave the factory on time.

Chris is also responsible for credit control and purchase ledger at Bridgend and payroll for both Bridgend and Chesterfield sites.
